Yes, I've eaten Bees...and Ants! But they were covered with nice, dark chocolate. That There was a time that one of the fads was chocolate covered bugs...you could not taste the bug so once you got your head around what you were eating...it wasn't bad. The Bees were a bit much...the Ants, just a little crunch. I have to admit though, I don't want any more. I guess I never did quite get my head around it! lol.

George Carlin said on his classic comedy album 'Class Clown' that if you banged together two things that had never been banged together before, some schmuck would buy it ...or something like that. That's not all he said on that record of course. There was lots more...like 'The seven words you can't say on television'...nowdays you can say all of them...but back then it was strictly verbotten.
Nobody knows indeed! There were more kinds of off the wall things in those sales...people from around the world now livng in Lab City were selling off all the old stuff they brought over from the old Country...a 'cultural shedding' of sorts...and we were the generation trying to make sense of it!
Yeh, there was always something going on, and just about everyone in town would drift through just to see what it was. It was a good spot to get a bowl of soup or some yummy cookies and such! With the broad range of people working in Western Labrador in those days the local fairs, 'Bazaars' as some called them, were a prime spot to see some entertaining household articles from elsewhere...or something completely different!
No, I'm not drying up! Things are just a bit busy these days with the start of school, work picking up and getting over the freedom of summer holidaze (and still fantastic weather...I could pinch myself!). I'll still be on track for end of year...just taking a while to get over a hump. No worries. I'll get there.
Anyways, the 'Torino Tease'! Yeah...she was a few years older than us, drove a convertible red Torino and fueled a fire in the teenage boy's chests! Sorta, we had no idea who she was but you could count on her to come around the corner a couple of times a night...if you were lucky! Whoever and wherever you are Lady, hope you're doing well! |
