I remember one evening in particular that a forest fire started several miles from the towns of Labrador City and Wabush. It was just as I described here...a flash around dusk and the sky lit up like all at once along the horizon! By morning we learned that indeed one had started about ten miles off. Luckily that time the wind was working for us and it devoured its way to the south, away from the populated area. I hope the animals got away!

Hey Snowden...I think I remember when that happened. Oh by the way, anything drawn yet on that wild gang of Park Rangers at Duley Lake from the late '70's?
