Well another year has come and gone. The pandemic has become commonplace and the horror of the Indigenous unmarked graves is fresh and infuriating. Today is a day that's going to be one of thought and reflection, and a commitment to do what I can to make this country the 'Canada' that we want it to be. Wear orange and speak truth.
In Newfoundland and Labrador today is already a day of mourning, a time we remember the young men who died far away, fighting in World War One, in the Battle of the Somme, at Beaumont Hamel and in Gallipoli.
Today is Heavy.
