I've covered a lot of ground in this comment. I could be on about the hydro developments, or the First Nations issues, or the ever fluctuating but very real anti Island sentiments, any of those things and more, but really all I'm getting at is that Labrador is 'home' to me. That doesn't mean I don't have other homes as well, but there are only a few places that get to be called that by me. For instance, I have a 'home' where my children are, and I have a 'home' where my family comes from, my parents and their parents and so on. I have a home here in Sculpin Tickle and ...I have a home in Western Labrador.

Funny but I feel the same way. Wabush will always be a "home " to me. It's where I grew up and have my childhood memories, most of my feelings of a home with my parents. When I last visited 13 years ago, I actually cried when I stepped off the plane. I felt my fathers presence in a way that is hard to describe.
