The reason I wouldn't sell a gallon for anything is not because I love them...'cause I don't. They're good in jam, delicious in fact, but far too much work in picking them in my humble opinion! It's horrible the conditions the best and ripest ones are picked under. That's why I wouldn't sell them...If I picked a gallon (which I won't I'm pretty sure) I would bloody well keep them! I have a theory that it's fly poop that makes them ripen. That would then explain what all the flies are doing on the bog...crapping on the bakeapples!! And biting the pink-skinned bipeds.

I went berry picking for bake apples, with my Dad only once when I was about 12 and it was tortuous. The flies and the bog and one berry to a plant. I couldn't take it, blueberries were much more sensible!
